Held the first weekend after Labor Day, residents enjoy live music, a family movie night, water fights, a 5k run/walk, parade, pancake breakfast, and a kickball/softball tournament. If you’re an outdoors lover, one of Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge’s two visitor centers is located in Carver. Billed as a gateway “to over 14,000 acres of land dedicated to wildlife and wildlife-dependent recreation,” it’s a place that Carver residents treasure.
