Carver County real estate benefits from its close proximity to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife’s Rapids Lake Education & Visitor Center. Chanhassen Dinner Theatres, located in Chanhassen, is the nation’s largest Equity (professional status) dinner theatre company. They offer Broadway-style musicals, concerts and a musical theatre camp for kids. Norwood Young America holds the distinction of hosting “Stiftungsfest“ (which means Founder’s Day), the oldest town festival in Minnesota. The festival began in 1861. Folks that enjoy fishing or just generally being out on the water will love the fact that Carver County is home to more than 50 lakes. The county also offers a number of regional parks. Within these parks where residents swim, lay on the beach, picnic or explore the various forests, prairies and trails.
